Core players Garland, Mitchell, Mobley, and Allen are set to start, with potential depth from Dean Wade and Caris LeVert. Toronto faces key injuries, missing RJ Barrett and Kelly Olynyk. Mobley has improved every season as a scorer and I think that trend continues this year starting tonight. The new coach has put an emphasis on Mobley being aggressive as a 1 on 1 scorer and to use his size. Not to mention his 3p% keeps increasing as well. The Raptors have the same coach and the same issues, they have no size or interior defense. Mobley will see Barnes, Poeltl, Boucher, or Fernando where he has a significant size advantage over all of them Raptors allowed the 4th most points in the paint last year and again, nothing changed for this roster except for improved guard play. They were in the bottom half of pick and roll defense where the Cavs ran pick n roll at the 6th highest rate. Mobley was much more efficient in away games last year averaging 17.3 compared to 14.3 at home.

Toronto was a bottom-6 unit in terms of defensive rating and points allowed per game last season. They played at the 12th-fastest pace. I'm expecting them to be a solid matchup once again this season. The bigger factor here is Cleveland's insistence on playing at a faster pace under Kenny Atkinson. "I call it the Autobahn. [We want to] go fast in those lanes," Atkinson said recently. The Cavs were 3rd in pace during the preseason after ranking 24th last year. I want to get out ahead of the changes for Cleveland. This is the 2nd-lowest total on the board for Wednesday's slate, which seems like a mistake.
