  • While most bettors are focused on tonight's National Championship Game, sharps are still finding a bit of value on the NBA slate.
  • See how they're betting the over/under in Hornets-Blazers (10 p.m. ET).

You might say that the NBA is taking a bit of a back seat tonight. While bettors turn their attention to the College Football Playoff National Championship, the 7-game hoops slate will see a significant drop-off from its usual handle.

And while sharps don’t necessarily care that there’s another game stealing the spotlight, their action on the NBA slate has been pretty sparse as well.

They have, however, caused some line movement on one of the night’s later tips.

Oddsmakers opened this total around 217.5, and while it now sits at a consensus of 216, the first movement was actually upward.

A bit of smart money even contributed to the rise up to 219, but since that point it’s come crashing back down.

Two Sports Insights Bet Signals — indicators of market activity caused by sharp action — have revealed professional money hitting the under at 219 and again at 217, causing sportsbooks to drop the line to its current number. Some shops have even continued down to 215.5.

Adding to the indications of sharp under action, the 60% of bets that have landed on the under are generating almost all of the actual money hitting the total (94%), meaning bigger bettors — the ones more likely to be sharps — are among that majority.

Sharp angle: Under (moved from 219 to 216)
