From a player props perspective, NBA Playoff series can be a bit tricky to navigate. With the same matchup repeated over and over, books can sharpen their lines based on what we’ve seen so far.

That being said, I’m a bit surprised that the books are hanging another high line for the Hawks superstar point guard. So far this series, Young has put up PRA lines of 18, 38 and 36. The latter two saw Young score his points relatively efficiently as well.

Rather than have Young run the pick and roll at the defense that is arguably the best in the NBA at defending it, Atlanta has moved their point guard off the ball more. While the offense still flows through him, Ice Trae’s potential assists and total touch time have fallen off a bit. The Heat defense is one of the few in the NBA equipped to get the ball out of Young’s hands.

We’ve seen Young fall short of this number due to a blowout and twice due to less volume. I’m banking on a fourth straight under tonight – I have Young projected at 36 PRA.
