We’ve reached the semifinals of the Euro 2020 tournament, with a ton of fantastic storylines left in the competition.
Can Italy return to glory after missing the 2018 World Cup? Does Spain win its third Euro title in its last four tries? Perhaps Denmark continue its emotional run as the team of destiny?
And is football finally coming home?
In case you missed the quarterfinal round, here’s a snapshot of what happened:
- Spain needed penalty kicks to get past 10-man Switzerland after a heroic effort from Switzerland goalkeeper Yann Sommer. Mikel Oyarzabal sealed a trip to the quarterfinals on Spain’s fifth and final penalty shot.
