The MLB is approaching the end of its regular season, so playoff races are getting down to crunch time with fewer and fewer opportunities to tally wins.

One of the tightest battles left to unfold is that of the NL East, which is dead even with a week's worth of games left to play.

The New York Mets and the Atlanta Braves are both 97-58, and while both teams have put together remarkable regular seasons, one will be heading to the playoffs in a wild card position.
