NBA Injury News & Starting Lineups (May 9): Jaylen Brown Out, Kyle Kuzma Doubtful Sunday article feature image

NBA Injury News

The Celtics Boston Celtics will be without Jaylen Brown for the third straight game due to a sprained right ankle. Evan Fournier has started with Brown sidelined with Aaron Nesmith filling joining the second unit on the wing.

Robert Williams has been upgraded to probable in advance of Sunday's game. Tristan Thompson entered the starting lineup on Friday with Williams sidelined and there is no word on if Williams will have a minutes limit.

Immanuel Quickley and Alec Burks are currently doubtful for the New York Knicks prior to their afternoon game Sunday. Both were unavailable for the loss on Friday: Quickley is dealing with a sprained left ankle and Burks is dealing with a left knee contusion.

The Los Angeles Lakers will likely Kuzma is listed doubtful for Sunday with a tight lower back. Wesley Matthews figures to enter the starting lineup in Kuzma's place on the wing.

Alex Caruso and Talen Horton-Tucker are both questionable to suit up. The Lakers would be extremely thin at point guard if Caruso isn't able to go with LeBron James and Dennis Schroder still sidelined.

Kristaps Porzingis will miss his sixth straight game due to a sore right knee. Maxi Kleber has been upgraded to questionable with an Achilles injury. With both players out recently, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Willie Cauley-Stein have entered the starting lineup.
