Tuesday NBA Injury News

3 p.m. ET Update: Kyrie Irving has been ruled out of Tuesday's game due to a tight lower back. The Boston Celtics will be without Daniel Theis on Tuesday due to a sprained right index finger.

The Los Angeles Lakers will have to play Tuesday night without their star big man Anthony Davis who will likely miss time until after the All-Star break. Per our NBA Insiders tool:

Davis will be re-evaluated in 2-to-3 weeks after suffering a strained calf, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Davis underwent an MRI on Monday that revealed a strain near his Achilles, and the team will be conservative on a return to play.

The Denver Nuggets will have their depth tested again Tuesday when they face the Boston Celtics on the road. Gary Harris is still out with an adductor injury, Will Barton is out for personal reasons and Paul Millsap will sit with a knee injury. Back up guard Monte Morris is also questionable with a shoulder injury,

Daniel Theis is questionable with a sprained right index finger. The Celtics are playing a back-to-back set Tuesday and Wednesday, and Kemba Walker is a rest candidate after being held out in one leg of back-to-backs this season.
