  • A windy forecast has the over/under for today's Redbox Bowl (3 p.m. ET, FOX) between Michigan State and Oregon on the move.
  • Using The Action Network's betting tools, we break down the line move and how savvy bettors can take advantage.

After a thoroughly entertaining NFL Week 17 that has set the field for the playoffs, college football bowls once again take center stage with a loaded six-game New Year's Eve slate.

The Military Bowl between Cincinnati and Virginia Tech gets the day started at 12 p.m. ET, but today's Redbox Bowl is one bettors should take note of before getting down on Monday's matchups.

The Michigan State-Oregon over/under opened at 48 on Dec. 3 and did not move until Sunday. Seriously.

But as today's kickoff approached, bettors became aware of a breezy forecast at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., the site of the Redbox Bowl.

Steady winds of 15-16 mph are expected at the start of the game, and those should increase as the game progresses.

According to our Bet Labs data, college football games played in double-digit winds go under the total 54% of the time, since 2005.

When average breezes reach 15 mph, unders are 286-215-9 (57.1%).

Oddsmakers have reacted by kicking the over/under down to between 46.5 and 47, depending on the book.

At the time of writing, 51% of tickets wagered on the total have played the over, but 79% of money is on the under.
