NBA Injury News

The Utah Jazz have ruled out Mike Conley for Game 1 against the Los Angeles Clippers Tuesday due to a strained right hamstring. He suffered the injury in the closeout game of the first round six days ago. Donovan Mitchell and Joe Ingles should handle the majority of the ball handling duties in his absence.

Los Angeles Clippers head coach Ty Lue confirmed the Serge Ibaka didn’t travel with the team to Utah for the first two games of the series. While the Clippers have continually listed Ibaka as doubtful with back spasms, it appears Ibaka will sit at least two more games due to the lingering back issues.

Joel Embiid is listed questionable ahead of Game 2 on Tuesday as he tries to play through a meniscus injury. He played 38 minutes in the Game 1 loss on Sunday, and coach Doc Rivers said Embiid looked good during Monday’s light practice but said the team will re-evaluate Embiid after every game.

Nate McMillan said De’Andre Hunter will be a game-time decision again for Game 2. Hunter got some shots up Monday but was unable to fully participate in practice as he continues to deal with a sore knee.
