We have three NBA props for this Tuesday, and our staff of basketball betting experts is focused on key players who could be in line for noteworthy performances in Game 5 between the Pacers and Cavaliers tonight.
Continue below for my NBA player props for Tuesday, May 13.
NBA Player Props for Tuesday, May 13
- Donovan Mitchell Over 27.5 Points (-114)
- Myles Turner Over 14.5 Points (-125)
- Max Strus Over 2.5 Threes (-130)
I know this is incredibly risky, but I refuse to believe that Donovan Mitchell —if he even plays— will go out like he did in Game 4.
The Cavs got boat raced, and he got hurt, left early, and didn't return. He has an ankle sprain, but he'd have to be really messed up not to play.
With Cleveland's season on the line, I'd still back him to go over. He had 33, 48, and 43 leading up to Game 4.
Pick: Donovan Mitchell Over 27.5 Points (-114, FanDuel)
Myles Turner had 13 points in Game 1 but has scored 23, 15 and 20 since. I like him at over 14.5 or 15 plus here.
He's finding offense, especially those above-the-break threes. He went 4-for-4 from deep last game, and maybe that won't continue, but he's stretching out Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley like I initially thought he would in this series, though it's been more obvious in Games 2 and 4.
My only concern here is volume. Turner shot 9, 17, 7, and 13 times for the Pacers in this round.
Ideally, we'd get some free throws. In this series, he is 15-for-19 from the stripe, with two games of six or more attempts.
Pick: Myles Turner Over 14.5 Points (-125, FanDuel)
Max Strus has made 3+ threes in three straight games, attempting 12, 8, and 7, respectively.
If Cleveland is playing from behind, Strus should have three-point volume.
If Mitchell sits, Strus should have three-point volume.
If Garland reaggravates his toe injury, Strus should have three-point volume.
And if this goes over again, Strus should have three-point volume.
Honestly, regardless of what happens — say it with me now — Strus should have three-point volume.
I'd be stunned if we get fewer than eight attempts, so I'd project at least three makes from deep. He may have to shoot more, though, given the nature of how Game 5 may unfold.
He has played 32 or more minutes in every game this series except the Game 4 ass whooping, where he was limited to just 22 but averaged nearly one attempt every three minutes of play.
Pick: Max Strus Over 2.5 Threes (-130, FanDuel)
