The Outlook

In a U.S. Open, conditions are going to be tough and scoring is going to be high, which makes bogey avoidance that much more critical. This season, Noren has been solid in that regard, ranking 16th in bogey avoidance. Moreover, he’s an excellent ball-striker, ranking 15th in Strokes Gained: Ball-Striking. While a premium will be placed on long hitters, golfers who can keep the ball in play shouldn’t be ignored. Noren is an excellent DFS play and someone I’d be willing to back in the betting markets.
