2025 Open Championship Odds, Favorites, How To Watch: Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy Favored

Scottie Scheffler is favored to win the 2025 Open Championship at +500 odds according to odds posted at BetMGM on Sunday afternoon.

Scheffler, the world's No. 1-ranked player, is coming off a T8 finish at the Scottish Open last weekend. He has three wins this season, with the most recent coming in early June at the Memorial Tournament. Scheffler also won the year's second major, the PGA Championship, back in May.

Scheffler has three major titles in his career, but is still searching for his first British Open win. His best finish at this major came last year when he tied for seventh place.

Next up on the odds board is Rory McIlroy, who has +650 odds to win the 2025 Open Championship at BetMGM. The Northern Irishman has won this major once in his career, way back in 2014. He completed the career grand slam earlier this year with his victory at the Masters, and is coming off a second place finish at the Scottish Open last weekend. He entered the final round tied for first place.

A pair of LIV golfers and familiar major contenders come up next on the odds board. Jon Rahm is +1200 to win the Open Championship, while Bryson DeChambeau is listed at +2000.

The rest of the makeup of the top contenders on the Open Championship odds board includes four golfers at +2200: Ludvig Aberg, Shane Lowry, Tyrrell Hatton, and defending champion Xander Schauffele. Tommy Fleetwood is +2500, followed by Robert MacIntyre and Viktor Hovland at +2800.

The 2025 British Open Championship will be held at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland. The course last hosted the tournament in 2019 when Shane Lowry emerged victorious. Royal Portrush is a par-71 that measures 7,381 yards and 156 players will compete to win the 153rd Open Championship.
