The PGA Tour heads to Maryland this week for the BMW Championship, which is the second leg of the FedExCup Playoffs.

Fifty players are set to compete in this week's no-cut event, with the top 30 advancing in the playoffs to next weekend's Tour Championship.

The favorite is once again Scottie Scheffler, who is not only looking to add another victory this week, but is gunning to become the first player ever to win back-to-back Tour Championships. Scheffler is a strong favorite to win the BMW Championship at +225 odds at DraftKings.

Behind Scheffler on the odds board is Rory McIlroy at +800. McIlroy sits second in the FedExCup standings, but opted to sit out last weekend's tournament. Following McIlroy on the odds board are Xander Schauffele at +1800, Tommy Fleetwood at +2000, and Ludvig Aberg at +2200.

It's a loaded field with a lot at stake, so here are my BMW Championship golf picks and PGA Tour best bets for this weekend in Memphis.

Ludvig Aberg

Outright (+2200 · 0.25u) · Top 10 (+180 · 1u)

It is no secret that Ludvig Aberg had some struggles earlier in the year, but he is rounding into some great form as he has two top-10 finishes in his last three starts.

Aberg should be a strong fit for this course as well with his elite off-the-tee play, but more interestingly he ranks 12th in this field in SG: Approach over his last 20 rounds.

If Aberg can bring that ball-striking form into the BMW Championship, I love his chances to contend here.

Chris Gotterup

Outright (+4000 · 0.25u) · Top 10 (+260 · 1u)

Header Trailing Logo

Chris Gotterup came back down to earth a bit last week after three straight top-10 finishes, including his win at the Scottish Open.

This is a great course for him to continue his hot stretch and make his last-ditch effort to secure a miracle spot on the U.S. Ryder Cup team.

His off-the-tee play and distance will give him an advantage over the field as he ranks 1st in SG: OTT and 2nd in driving distance in this field.

Kurt Kitayama

Outright (+4500 · 0.25u) · Top 10 (+320 · 1u)

Kurt Kitayama made a late surge to qualify for this round of the FedExCup playoffs in large part due to his win a few weeks ago at the 3M Open, but he also finished T9 last week.

Kitayama grades out as a top-eight player in the field in my model this week as his distance and strong ball striking make him a great fit for this course.
