The Outlook
Vegas has all the distance needed to play well here, but he hasn’t really shown the ability to compete in an elite field yet. He’s still searching for a top-20 in a major after eight starts. Last year, a wide-open course such as Erin Hills should have fit him quite well, but he missed the cut. I just don’t see much of a reason to back him in any regard.
