Walker has missed his last two cuts at the U.S. Open but did finish T9 in 2014. His long-term form and distance off the tee are good enough to hang around for the cut, and he gets even more intriguing when you look at his recent play. He’s ninth in the field in Recent Adjusted Round Score, largely thanks to finishing in the top 20 in each of his five most recent events. His ball-striking has been especially great lately, and he’s been crushing par-4s and par-5s, which will be critical on the long Shinnecock holes. I guess +10,000 to win is intriguing — anyone at that odds playing this well is — but I think the best value will be at nice plus odds for a top-25 finish.
