The Outlook

Rory is one of about a half-dozen guys who could be listed as the favorite or co-favorite depending on the book you use. He was my pick at the Masters, and early on Sunday he had as good of a chance as anyone to don the green jacket. But I won’t be going back to the McIlroy well. Since his hot putting display at Bay Hill, he’s lost strokes on the greens in his past three events. With the putter still out of sorts, it’s tough to justify a bet in the +1200 range. Like many guys at the top, I’d advise a wait-and-see approach; and if he falls behind early, there may be a chance to bet him during the course of play.
