NBA Injury News & Starting Lineups (April 14): Giannis Antetokounmpo Questionable, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George Out Wednesday

Below are the projected starting lineups for each team playing on Wednesday's NBA slate, along with notable injury news for each squad. For Thursday's injury report, click here.

NBA Injury News

1:30 p.m. ET Update: Paul George and Kawhi Leonard have been ruled out Wednesday. George is resting for the second time in the last four games while Leonard will miss his second straight game due to a sore foot.

Kyrie Irving will return to the Nets' lineup Wednesday when they face the 76ers, but Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin will sit for rest on the second night of a back-to-back. LaMarcus Aldridge is also out with an illness and Chris Chiozza is out after undergoing hand surgery.

Karl-Anthony Towns will sit for the second straight game on Wednesday for personal reasons. Kelly Oubre will sit for the third straight game on Wednesday with a sore wrist.

The Toronto Raptors will be without Kyle Lowry for rest, Gary Trent Jr.  due to an ankle injury, and DeAndre Bembry due to a sore hamstring.

The Milwaukee Bucks are closely monitoring the status of their two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo who has missed five games over the past two weeks. Per our NBA Insiders tool:

Antetokounmpo participated fully in Tuesday's practice and is listed questionable in advance of Wednesday's game. Regarding the availability of Giannis and PJ Tucker (calf, questionable), coach Budenholzer said, "We'll see how they both respond to practicing today and how their bodies feel and how they feel in general and make a decision on availability for the game."

Kawhi Leonard is listed as questionable on the second night of a road back-to-back for the Los Angeles Clippers against the Detroit Pistons. Leonard sat out Tuesday night against the Indiana Pacers with a sore right foot and missed their previous game agains the Pistons Sunday for rest.

The Brooklyn Nets have a few question marks regarding their lineup ahead of a pivotal game against the Philadelphia 76ers Wednesday. After having their Monday night game against the Minnesota Timberwolves rescheduled to Tuesday, the Nets are now playing a road back-to-back in Philly.

There has been no word on Kevin Durant's status for the game after he played 27 minutes in the blowout win. Kyrie Irving is questionable for personal reasons, while LaMarcus Aldridge is questionable with a non-covid related illness.

Buddy Hield is officially listed questionable ahead of tonight's game against the Washington Wizards while Richaun Holmes is doubtful. Hield was a late scratch on Monday due to an illness; Holmes left Monday's game with a hamstring injury and did not return.
