- The over/under for the Cincinnati Bengals-Kansas City Chiefs game closed around 56/56.5 around the betting market, which Sunday Night Football announcer Al Michael was well aware of.
- When Andy Reid's fourth-down decision late in the game proved costly to over bettors, Michaels couldn't help but acknowledge the gambling elephant in the room.
Al Michaels could see it coming from a mile away.
As the Chiefs lined up to run a play on fourth-and-4 from inside the 10-yard line, leading 45-10, this exchange took place between Al and Cris Collinsworth in the Sunday Night Football booth:
Al: "56.5 is a number a lot of the fans are thinking about"
Cris: "So a FG would be just fine"

Everyone who bet the game knew exactly what he was talking about.
The over/under did indeed close around 56/56.5 at various sportsbooks, and with 55 points through the first 47 minutes of the game, the over appeared to be a lock.
But then Andy Reid decided to be Andy Reid, and, well, Michaels just couldn't help himself.
Pour one out for over bettors everywhere.
