Nashville and Raleigh are two places that people wouldn't expect hockey to thrive in the United States. But over the last few years, the Carolina Hurricanes and the Nashville Predators have built passionate fan bases that have some of the best traditions in hockey. And the two teams go head-to-head in Raleigh on Friday night.

The Hurricanes are one of the best teams in the NHL — they currently sit in second in the Metropolitan Division with a 32-11-4 record. They've played five fewer games than the first-place Penguins and are only two points behind them.

The Predators sit in fourth in the Central Division with a 28-17-4 record. They should be battling for a playoff spot until the very end as they sit six points ahead of the Stars and eight points ahead of the Jets.

PNC Arena should be rocking for this Friday night matchup and we've tracked sharp action coming in on the same side as a PRO system play.
