  • The Philadelphia Eagles are odds-on favorites to win the NFC East in 2019.

NFC East Divisional Odds

  • Philadelphia Eagles: -160
  • Dallas Cowboys: +160
  • New York Giants: 16-1
  • Washington Redskins: 20-1

After defeating the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 52, the Philadelphia Eagles won nine games in 2018, finishing one game behind the 10-6 Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East.

But now with a healthy Carson Wentz, oddsmakers at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook have the Eagles as heavy favorites to reclaim the division title at -160.

The Cowboys, who have yet to see Ezekiel Elliott this preseason and are managing Amari Cooper's nagging heel strain, are next at +160.

After Philly and Dallas, there's a significant drop off to the New York Giants and Washington Redskins, who could both see rookie quarterbacks under center this season.

As for the smartest bet to win the NFC East, we ran 10,000 simulations of the 2019 NFL season to find out.

NFC East Best Bet

While the Giants finish atop the NFC East in just 14.9% of simulations, their implied probability of 5.9% identifies a clear edge betting on New York.

Based on those percentages, the Giants should be 6-1 to win the division, not 16-1.

While it's unlikely that Big Blue will circle the wagons and be a true contender this season, the betting market is clearly undervaluing this team, especially at current betting odds.
