The Denver Broncos went flashy early in the 2020 NFL Draft.
After taking arguably the best receiver in the draft at No. 15 in Jerry Jeudy, they came back for more with an explosive slot/return option in K.J. Hamler at No. 46. Both will serve as new targets for Drew Lock in his sophomore season, which means there’s plenty of unknowns heading into 2020 for the Denver offense.
At their full potential, the Broncos could be one of the more exciting teams in the league, meaning bettors might be looking for some value on one (or more) of their young studs, both of whom have been listed with odds to win NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
Denver Broncos Odds to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year
- Jerry Jeudy +1600
- K.J. Hamler +10000
For those new to reading odds, +1600 means a $100 bet would return $1,600 if Jeudy wins. A $100 bet on Hamler winning would return $10,000.
As one of the biggest names coming out of this year’s draft, it’s no surprise to see Jerry Jeudy listed significantly higher than his new teammate. His +1600 odds are behind only Joe Burrow (+225), Clyde Edwards-Helaire (+600), Tua Tagovailoa (+1000), Jonathan Taylor (+1000) and D’Andre Swift (+1200), and they imply a 6.67% chance that he’ll ultimately win the award.
They also make him the highest listed wide receiver on the board (CeeDee Lamb checks in at +2500).
For some more specific props surrounding Jeudy, FanDuel is offering over/unders on both his receiving yards and touchdowns in 2020.
Jerry Jeudy 2020 Regular Season Props
- Receiving yards: O/U 824.5
- Receiving touchdowns: O/U 5.5
As for Hamler, his +10000 odds are tied for the 24th highest on the OROY list, though there aren’t a whole lot of candidates behind him. If you feel he’s got more than a 1% chance to win the award (as implied by his +10000 odds), it might be worth sprinkling a bet his way.
At the time of writing, season-long props are not available for Hamler.
