How Green Bay Reached the Divisional Round

  • Wild Card Round: Bye
  • Regular-Season Record: 13-3

Tommy Stokke: There wasn’t a lot of hype around the Packers heading into the season. At 37 years old, how much was left in the tank for Aaron Rodgers? And why was the team trading up into the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft to select a quarterback? The answers are apparently "a lot" and "good question."

Rodgers responded with an MVP-caliber season — he's the betting favorite to win the award — and the Packers have the look of a Super Bowl team.

How L.A. Reached the Divisional Round

  • Wild Card Round: Beat the Seahawks, 30-20
  • Regular-Season Record: 10-6

Stokke: Heading into Wild Card Weekend, the Rams felt under the radar for a team that had clinched the over on its 8.5 win total and is two years removed from a Super Bowl appearance.

Some of that is probably due to Jared Goff's regular-season inconsistencies: He had six games with more than 300 yards passing but seven with fewer than 250. There was also that loss to the Jets — the first win of the year for New York after entering that week 0-13.

Fast forward, and the Rams edged out the NFC West champion Seahawks to advance to the Divisional Round.
