Falcons vs Rams Preview, Parlay Picks
Atlanta has been eliminated from playoff contention after posting a 6-9 record. Starter Michael Penix Jr. dealt with injuries throughout the season, and the Falcons were unable to capitalize on a weak year in the NFC South.
Veteran Kirk Cousins has taken over the offense since the Penix injury. The former Michigan State product has thrown for 1,415 yards, eight touchdowns, and four interceptions.
Los Angeles, meanwhile, is headed back to the postseason. After last night’s results, the Rams can no longer win the NFC West, meaning their first playoff game is guaranteed to be on the road. Sean McVay’s team has enjoyed a strong season with an 11-4 record.
Matthew Stafford enters this matchup as the betting favorite to win MVP, having thrown for 4,179 yards, 40 touchdowns, and five interceptions.
Falcons +7.5
I expect the Falcons to show up and compete in this contest.
Atlanta has played much better over the last couple of weeks, earning back-to-back wins. The Falcons have also kept games close all season, with six of their last eight contests decided by one score.
I anticipate another tight matchup on Monday night, which favors the underdog getting more than a touchdown.
