Markus began sports betting in 2017, but it wasn't until December 2022 that he started sharing his research with the public. Markus has been a prop analyst for Cook the Books VIP Discord for about 2 years and has partnerships with Props.Cash and Action Network. He also shares free plays, cheat sheets and in-depth analysis on X (formerly Twitter) @Markus_Markets.

Markus was obsessed with sports growing up and always had an analytical mind, placing in the top percentile in math subjects. He pursued a degree in Finance and has built a career in the investment field. He uses a lot of the same logic around risk management and statistics built in his profession and has applied it to his research on prop bets. Markus started off by just sending full paragraph writeups to a private group chat. One of his close friends realized his potential and kept pushing him to start a Twitter page (now X). Markus eventually caved and took his recommendation; he's built a nice following on Twitter. Sports betting analysis is the perfect intersection between Markus' passions and skillset.

Markus graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Finance and a minor in Economics. Markus is also a CFA Charter holder.

Betting Highlights
Favorite Bet of All-Time
I thought my (+4105) $25 to $1,051.29 NBA longshot was dead but received a private message from a member in our group that the NBA had a stat correction, removing an assist from Desmond Bane's stat line. I contacted FanDuel and the parlay was regarded as a win, it was electric! It was nice to have a stat correction finally go your way!
Most Heartbreaking Bet
Toward the beginning of this NBA season, I lost 3 longshot parlays hooked by 1 leg, coincident or not, they were all Trail Blazers players.
