We have three NBA props for this Sunday, and our staff of basketball betting experts is focused on key players who could be in line for noteworthy performances in tonight's Game 4 between the Cavaliers and Pacers.
Continue below for my NBA player props for Sunday, May 11.
NBA Player Props for Sunday, May 11
- Donovan Mitchell Over 29.5 Points (-125 DraftKings)
- Andrew Nembhard Over 18.5 Points + Assists (+100 DraftKings)
- Ty Jerome Under 9.5 Points (+100 BetMGM)
Donovan Mitchell scored 40 or more in back-to-back games and 33 in Game 2 of this series. As long as he's at 29.5 or lower, I'll likely keep playing his over on points.
Indiana allows a ton of drives, and Mitchell is able to get downhill with limited resistance. So long as he hits enough shots from the perimeter, I'll ride with him in this current form.
Mitchell has had 30, 30 and 29 shots across his last three — and last game that was despite the returns of Darius Garland, Evan Mobley and DeAndre Hunter. No, he won't always shoot 30 times and get a double-digit amount of free throw attempts (21 and 14, respectively), but until Indiana could keep the ball out of his hands, Mitchell will be worth backing.
Pick: Donovan Mitchell over 29.5 points (-125 DraftKings)
Andrew Nembhard went under in the last game, finishing at 14 PA while inexplicably logging just 26 minutes.
He has been over on points and assists in all but two playoff games—Game 3 against the Cavs and Game 3 against the Bucks, both losses.
I'm back in on Nembhard this game, not because I think Indy wins, necessarily, but because I think last game was an outlier. Nembhard has played 30 or more minutes in all but two playoff games, and assuming his playing time jumps back up to his postseason norm, I think he could get back to his PA overs here.
Pick: Andrew Nembhard over 18.5 points + assists (+100 DraftKings)
Ty Jerome has scored twice in each of his last two games after exploding for 21 points in Game 2 and 18 in Game 1.
With a healthy deck in Game 4, Jerome saw his minutes drop from 28 to 13. He has shot 2 for his last 22 and missed all eight threes across his previous two contests.
Jerome won't get shelved entirely, but with the Cavs at full strength — even if injured — the Virginia alum will have a shorter leash. He hasn't been able to make twos or threes lately. Now, it's the playoffs, and role players could be yin and yang from one game to the next, but Jerome is unquestionably trending down as Garland works his way into form.
Pick: Ty Jerome under 9.5 points (+100 BetMGM)
