Thunder vs Clippers NBA Preview

The Clippers just dropped a tough one at home to a feisty (surprise, surprise) Heat team last night.

Miami, who was on the second of a Los Angeles back-to-back, losing 130-120 to the Lakers the night before, walked away with a 120-119 victory.

In the first half, the Clippers were in a struggle, but pulled away with a 41-point second quarter, leading by as many as 11 with 40 seconds to go.

The Heat responded by going on a 31-10 run that ultimately set the stage for a 37-24 third quarter.

The Clippers outscored Miami 24-17, and Kawhi Leonard had the ball with a chance at a game winner in the game's last possession, but ultimately, Miami held on, giving Los Angeles their first home loss of the year.

And now, the 7-0 OKC Thunder are in town.

Oklahoma City is 7-0 and with a day of rest after beating the Pelicans on Sunday, however, they're just 3-4 against the spread, whereas the 3-3 Clippers are only 1-5.

These are two of the worst ATS teams in the NBA relative to their actual win/loss record this season.

On the injury report, the Clippers have Bradley Beal and Leonard as questionable.

The Thunder remain without Jalen Williams, Nikola Topic and Kenrich Williams.

Lu Dort, Jaylin Williams and Ajay Mitchell are all questionable. Chet Holmgren, not listed, is slated to return from a three-game absence.

Thunder vs Clippers Prediction, Betting Analysis

We've seen both teams struggle ATS, and we just saw the Clippers cover in the first half and lose, so I'll lean on that to happen again.

A little sprinkle on a parlay combining first half winner and full time winner, where the Clippers win the first half and the Thunder win the game at +460.

The Clippers have straight up and covered in four of six first halves, and while this isn't a desperation spot to me, it is a spot where the Clippers will push, I think, against a short-handed OKC, even as they welcome Holmgren back.

This is a lean, not a full-fledged play yet, because of the injury report. I may log this if Leonard is good to go. Beal playing is whatever to me.

Pick: Clippers First Half Moneyline/ Thunder Full Game Moneyline (+460)
