Kings vs Pacers NBA Preview

The Kings earned a stunning road win in Miami against the Heat on Saturday night, behind Zach LaVine's season-high 42 points.

It was one of the worst Miami outings of the year, and lately, the Heat haven't looked like the team that seemed to find something in the first six-ish weeks of the season.

The Kings, weirdly enough, are 6-17 and have really only beaten decent to very good teams. But they've also played the toughest strength of schedule so far this year, with an SOS of .568.

To be fair, usually the worse you are, the better your SOS is because you keep playing teams better than you, since you yourself are pretty terrible. It's why the inverse is also true: the weakest schedules so far belong to OKC and Denver.

That said, Sacramento has a win in Denver, a win against Minnesota in OT, and a win against Golden State this season.

The Pacers, at 5-18, have been less bad while healthier, and currently have won three of five heading into tonight, although their only good win is against Golden State at home earlier in the year, given how the Bulls have played as of late.

Ben Sheppard (calf), Aaron Nesmith (knee), Obi Toppin (foot), Tyrese Haliburton (Achilles), Quenton Jackson (hamstring) and Kam Jones (back) are all out for Indy.

Domantas Sabonis (meniscus) is out for Sacramento, while Keegan Murray (trapezius) and Dennis Schroder (hip) are questionable.

Kings vs Pacers Prediction, Betting Analysis

Maxime Raynaud over 18.5 points + rebounds is my play for this, and admittedly, a play that I half-like took a while to find.

Nevertheless, Raynaud is over this mark in three of his last four games since seeing a minutes bump.

The 7-foot-1 big, drafted No. 42 overall out of Stanford via France this season, just posted 12 and 10 in the Kings' win over Miami, which followed a 25-point outburst in Houston.

Two games prior, he dropped 19 in Utah while collecting four boards.

Although Raynaud will occasionally spray out to three, he's just 4-for-13 from deep this year.

The Pacers allow the seventh-most points in the paint and the third-most boards per 100 possessions this season. And without Sabonis, Raynaud has been stepping up.

Pick: Maxime Raynaud Over 18.5 Points + Rebounds (-120)
