NBA All-Star Weekend has arrived, and that means one of the most exciting events of the weekend — the three-point contest — is back.

NBA Three-Point Contest Predictions, Odds
The two players with the highest odds are also the most interesting entries in this year's contest. Kon Knueppel is the only rookie in the field, but he's shooting better than 42% from behind the arc on nearly eight attempts per game. Just behind him is Damian Lillard, who has an injury that has prevented him from playing this season. However, he's one of the favorites to win the contest.
Three true superstars occupy the next tier. Donovan Mitchell will participate for the third time in his career, but is still searching for his first victory. Devin Booker won the 2018 three-point contest and will be participating for the fifth time, while Jamal Murray earned his first All-Star appearance and is making the most out of the experience by also participating in the three-point contest.
The next two participants are both in their first All-Star games, but at wildly different points in their careers. Although Tyrese Maxey is already in his sixth season, he is just 25 years old, making him one of the league's youngest budding stars. Norman Powell, on the other hand, is in his 11th season, and his best accolades so far have been a pair of fourth-place finishes in Sixth Man of the Year Award voting. Powell has thrived in a higher usage role for the Miami Heat and was rewarded with his first career All-Star selection.
Finally, we have Bobby Portis Jr., who is maybe the most interesting participant here. Portis Jr. has the highest percentage from deep of any of the participants, but isn't receiving the same love as the other sharpshooters in the market, likely due to his lack of volume (he takes just over four threes per game).
What is Kalshi?
Different than a traditional sportsbook and available in most states, Kalshi allows users to make predictions across several unique markets, including sports, entertainment, elections, and even weather.
Kalshi operates on a contract-based system where users buy "contracts" (priced between 1–99 cents) based on whether they believe a specific event will happen. The price of each contract fluctuates in real time based on market sentiment, and like the stock market, traders can sell positions early to lock in profits (or minimize losses).
