The operators are lining up in the Show-Me State.
Fanatics Betting and Gaming has teamed up with Boyd Gaming Corporation to bring sports betting to Missouri.
The collaboration allows Fanatics Sportsbook to run mobile sports betting services under Boyd’s license in the state. As part of the agreement, two Fanatics-branded retail sportsbooks will open at Boyd’s Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City and Ameristar Casino Resort and Spa in St. Charles, near St. Louis.
Fanatics also offers an online casino with promo codes to get players started.
Fanatics Will Launch in December in Missouri
Fanatics plans to launch both online and retail betting platforms in December, aligning with the introduction of regulated sports wagering in Missouri. This launch is pending all necessary regulatory approvals. Once live, sports enthusiasts across the state can download the Fanatics Sportsbook app on iOS and Android to engage with its features.
Missouri bettors will benefit from offers such as up to 10% FanCash back on every wager, regardless of the outcome, and Fair Play™ injury protection. Fanatics’ Fair Play policy is designed to protect bettors against unforeseen circumstances like player injuries. It went into effect when players like Jimmy Butler got hurt during a game last season, and Anthony Davis' memorable Christmas Day injury.

The partnership with Boyd should also prompt exclusive events and experiences unique to Fanatics.
At Ameristar casinos, Fanatics Sportsbook retail outlets will offer a premium sportsbook experience, covering all major sports, including football, basketball, hockey, and more. Fanatics will manage all development and trading of sports betting markets internally.
Missouri to Launch Sports Betting in December
Missouri is gearing up to roll out online and retail sports betting on December 1, 2025, after voters approved Amendment 2 in November 2024. The state legalized sports betting by a slim margin, with 50.1% of voters in favor, and the law took effect in December 2024. Since then, the Missouri Gaming Commission has been busy finalizing the necessary regulations and licensing to meet the launch date.
The Gaming Commission started accepting license applications on May 15, 2025. Temporary regulations are scheduled to take effect on August 30, 2025, following a public hearing. Licenses will be issued in stages, with operators connected to casinos and professional sports teams, as well as two standalone online licenses, expected to receive approval in August and November 2025.
In total, up to 14 mobile sportsbook licenses will be available for casinos and teams, along with two additional online licenses.

Starting December 1, individuals aged 21 and older can place bets online and in person across the state. Missouri's major sports teams, like the Chiefs and Cardinals, plan to open retail betting areas near their stadiums.
Leading operators such as DraftKings, FanDuel, and Circa are preparing to enter the market, setting the stage for fierce competition. Sports betting revenue will be taxed at 10%, with proceeds after expenses supporting education funding.
The regulatory process has taken longer than anticipated due to the rejection of emergency rules, highlighting the importance of careful oversight and public input. With the expectation of billions in wagers, primarily online, Missouri will soon join 38 other U.S. states in legalizing sports betting.
