In a bold step towards redefining luxury hospitality, MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas has revealed a stunning transformation of its main tower accommodations.
The ambitious $300 million renovation has reimagined 3,969 rooms and suites, designed to offer a sophisticated blend of contemporary aesthetics and exceptional comfort. Embracing the glitz and energy reminiscent of the disco era, the updated accommodations echo the legacy of MGM Grand as a cornerstone of entertainment on The Strip.
A Modern Design with a Nod to the Disco Era
These newly remodeled spaces result from collaboration between global architecture firm Gensler and MGM Resorts Design & Development.
The renovation draws inspiration from the vibrant disco era, introducing sleek design elements alongside unparalleled functionality. "MGM Grand has long stood out as one of the most iconic resorts on The Strip, and this remodel marks an ambitious step forward in the resort's evolution," stated Mike Neubecker, President & COO of MGM Grand.
The redesigned rooms boast key features, including:
- Spa-like walk-in showers
- Integrated illuminated closets
- Advanced blackout drapery
Guests can expect enhanced comfort with modern conveniences, including charging stations and Smart TVs that elegantly integrate technology.

Expanding Luxury: New MGM Suites and Amenities
In addition to the room upgrades, MGM Grand has unveiled 111 new suites, bringing the hotel’s total to 753.
These expansive suites range from 675 to 1,784 square feet, featuring refined finishes and thoughtfully reconfigured layouts that promote both privacy and versatility. The updated bathrooms and layouts create an ideal sanctuary for relaxation or business.
As part of its refresh, MGM Grand has also introduced several innovative dining and entertainment attractions.
Guests can experience the uniqueness of NETFLIX BITES, a dining venue inspired by famous Netflix shows.
The newly opened Palm Tree Beach Club offers a tropical escape curated by DJ Kygo’s Palm Tree Crew, while The FRIENDS™ Experience allows fans to immerse themselves in the beloved TV show's setting.
Complementing these new venues is FREQNCY, an immersive residency show from the celebrated dance crew Jabbawockeez. Additionally, the resort’s contemporary Japanese restaurant, Morimoto, is set to unveil a revamped design and menu in late November.

A Rich History of the MGM Grand
Opened in 1993, MGM Grand has solidified its status as a Las Vegas icon over the decades.
Originally conceived as a family-friendly mega-resort, it was once the largest hotel complex in the world. Its world-famous lion mascot and vibrant entertainment offerings have contributed to its reputation as a landmark destination. The recent renovations pay homage to its storied past while paving the way for future guest experiences.
These extensive updates ensure that MGM Grand remains not only a cornerstone of Las Vegas culture but also a continual pioneer in the hospitality industry, setting new standards for modern luxury.
