Someone's life could change overnight tonight.
The Powerball lottery jackpot, which has been growing over the summer, is now one of the biggest in the game's history. It's estimated at $750 million. The cash value of this jackpot is approximately $338.6 million if you take it all in one lump sum.
But the good news doesn't stop there. You can try your luck for this huge Powerball jackpot tonight.
“The excitement of playing for a colossal Powerball jackpot is back!” said Matt Strawn, Powerball Product Group Chair and Iowa Lottery CEO. “It only takes one $2 Powerball ticket to win Monday’s jackpot, and a portion of that sale will go directly to supporting programs and services that benefit local communities.”
Nobody Won the Powerball Jackpot on Saturday
In the drawing on Saturday (August 23), the winning numbers were 11, 14, 34, 47, 51, and the Powerball was 18. The number that doubled some winnings, known as the Power Play, was 2.
Although no one matched all the numbers to win the jackpot, two tickets—one in Maine and one in New York—matched the five white balls and won $1 million each. A third ticket in South Dakota also matched the five white balls, and because the player paid an extra $1 for the Power Play option, the prize doubled to $2 million.
Additionally, 31 tickets won $50,000 each, and five won $100,000 in Saturday's draw.
37th Powerball Drawing Since Last Winner

Monday's Powerball drawing will be the 37th since the last jackpot was won in California on May 31, 2025.
If someone wins the jackpot on Monday, they can choose between $750 million paid out over time (29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year) or a lump sum payment of approximately $338.6 million. Both amounts are before taxes.
Powerball drawings occur live every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time and can be watched online on Powerball's website.
If You Win The Powerball Jackpot…

If you win the Powerball jackpot by matching all six numbers, you have two choices for getting your prize: one is to receive your winnings in annual payments over 30 years, and the other is to take a smaller amount all at once.
If you choose the yearly payments, you'll get one payment right away, and then 29 more payments that grow by 5% each year. On average, this would be about $25 million per payment. However, taxes would reduce this amount since the federal government takes at least 24%, and New York takes an additional 10.9%. New York has the highest Powerball tax rate by state.
If you opt for the lump sum, the initial amount would be $338.6 million before taxes. After federal and New York state taxes, you would receive about $220.4 million.
