The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season finally gets underway with Wednesday's Cook Out Clash (6 p.m. ET, FOX) at Bowman Gray Stadium.
Well, that's assuming the latest NASCAR weather report plays nice.
NASCAR has already been forced to postpone the Clash from Sunday to Monday, then from Monday to Wednesday due to Winter Storm Gianna, and might have another weather-related decision on its hands with rain in Wednesday night's forecast.
Here's the updated NASCAR weather report for Wednesday's Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray, including just how wet it'll be in Winston-Salem, N.C.
NASCAR Weather Report for Wednesday's Clash
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will dip into the mid-20s tonight in Winston-Salem with a 60% chance of precipitation.
A look at the hourly breakdown shows a 27% chance of rain at 1 p.m. ET, which is important considering practice and qualifying are scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m. ET.
The chances of rain then steadily increase to 59% at 5 p.m. ET, before falling to 20% by 7 p.m. ET.
In addition, temperatures will remain above freezing until around 11 p.m. ET, so snow should not impact the Cook Out Clash assuming this forecast stays true.
It's important to note that NASCAR does have rain tires for Wednesday Clash, though those are only available for damp conditions and cannot be used while it's raining steadily.
Should NASCAR be forced to postpone the Clash once again due to weather, Thursday's forecast, while cold, thankfully looks dry.
NASCAR odds at bet365 list Chase Elliott as the race favorite at +600, followed by Denny Hamlin (+700), Ryan Blaney (+700) and Kyle Larson (+750).
