Last night, Anthony Davis went for another monster game even after giving the DFS world a locker-room scare, resulting in a wave of burning money GIFS on @FantasyLabsNBA's feed.
The Pelicans continue their West Coast swing tonight in Sacramento, but the environment won't be as friendly for points this go-round.
Though the Pelicans only put up 121 points last night against the Clippers (about six fewer points than they had been averaging over the eight previous games), the game still managed to go over the closing total. The early birds who took under 238 got the W, but the chasers suffered a tough 1-2 point loss.
The Pelicans' offense will be put to the test tonight, but not because of the Kings. Instead, the officiating crew of Curtis Blair, Ron Garretson (pictured above), and John Goble may put the kibosh on New Orleans' high-powered offense.
Since the start of the 2005 season, these three officials have favored the under quite a bit.
- Blair: 285-238 (54.5%)
- Garretson: 370-324 (53.3%)
- Goble: 381-337 (53.1%)
- Total: 1,036-899 (53.5%)
Right now, most folks are seeing the Pelicans' name on the board and pounding the over, which is seeing nearly 90% of the early bets. However, the total has dropped from 224 to 223.5.
I'll be holding off on this one for the time being to see how the percentages and line movement play out, but definitely keep this data in mind before making your decision.
