Hornets vs Nets NBA Preview
I'm taking Coby White to score over 14.5 points against the Brooklyn Nets tonight, in a redemption spot for the Charlotte Hornets.
White's usage rate has been excellent since joining the Hornets. When he gets in the game, he has a ton of usage — and he has been killing second units, which is what he's slated to do again tonight against Brooklyn.
I love this spot for him matchup-wise, too.
White has scored over 14.5 points in three of his last four games — and if you zoom out a little bit further, he's done it in six of his last eight.
In games where Charlotte wins big, White usually plays around 22-25 minutes and gets plenty of opportunities to score — and the Hornets are huge 16.5-point favorites over the Nets in tonight's contest.
White is still getting plenty of shots up with regularity. He's logged 11, 13, 15 and 13 field goal attempts in recent games. So, he just goes in, guides the team, and kind of does whatever he wants.

The Hornets have made an effort to shorten their rotation as they gear up for the postseason, but White isn't one of the guys in jeopardy of having his minutes cut in a dramatic way.
The Hornets have sat him out a couple of times just because of maintenance or whatever, so there's always a chance that we see him pop up on the injury report at the last minute because they really don't need him to beat the Nets.
However, if he does play, I love this spot for White.
