Warriors vs Cavaliers NBA Preview

The Cavaliers looked closer to the team we expected this season in last night's game against the Spurs, walking away with a 130-117 home win.

They'll stay in Cleveland tonight and will be welcoming the Golden State Warriors, who are 11-12 on the year and last played in Philadelphia on Thursday night, losing a 99-98 slugfest.

The Warriors are 2-6 in their last eight, and are looking more and more like a Play-In team at this point.

Cleveland is just 2-4 in their last six, but at 14-10 — and in eighth like Golden State — they're only two games removed from the second seed Knicks, who edged them on opening night.

Health is the story of the NBA, and it has largely been the case for both teams through the first quarter of the year.

Cleveland will be missing Jarrett Allen (finger), Max Strus (foot) and Larry Nance Jr. (calf), with possibly more absences.

Darius Garland (toe), Sam Merrill (hand), and Tyrese Proctor (personal) all sat Friday, and Garland is the only one really expected to play as of Saturday morning, given he's not playing both ends of back-to-backs at the moment.

For Golden State, Stephen Curry (quad) and Al Horford (sciatica) are the relevant inactives for Saturday. Jimmy Butler (knee), Draymond Green (foot), Seth Curry (toe) and De'Anthony Melton (knee) are all questionable.

Warriors vs Cavaliers Prediction, Betting Analysis

Tonight, I'm backing Jaylon Tyson to get over 17.5 points plus rebounds.

Tyson has had 30, 21, 38, 22, 11, 24, 11 and 22 PR since returning to the lineup, and in a spot still without Allen and Nance Jr., even with Garland, I'm not moving off of it.

He's over his PR in six of the last eight games. The number is lower than yesterday, when he just had 24 and six.

Cleveland really likes his minutes. He cuts hard, he crashed the boards on both ends, he spots up for his guards (and Evan Mobley) and relocates to the right spot for a second-chance bucket.

For head coach Kenny Atkinson, he's the exact type of wing role player he would've loved in Brooklyn.

I'm riding this one out. Tyson's too good and too undervalued right now.

Pick: Jaylon Tyson Over 17.5 Points + Rebounds (-120, DraftKings)
