To determine who meets the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers will take on the Detroit Pistons in Game 7 of the conference semifinals. Tip-off is set for approximately 8:00 p.m. at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Amazon Prime.
We have you covered with a pair of prop predictions for both matchups, including picks for Cade Cunningham and Donovan Mitchell. Continue below for our NBA player props for Sunday, May 17.
NBA Player Props for Pistons vs Cavaliers Game 7
- Cade Cunningham Over 8.5 Assists (-106)
- Donovan Mitchell Over 25.5 Points (-118)

Cade Cunningham Over 8.5 Assists (-106)
There's a good chance that Cade Cunningham's performance will determine the winner of Sunday's game. Cade leads the 2026 NBA Playoffs in total points (381) and assists (100) and has comfortably been the best player in this series so far.
Cunningham is averaging 25.3 points per game in the second round, but his team's dependence on his scoring hasn't watered down his playmaking. He's dishing out 8.3 dimes per contest against the Cavaliers and has eclipsed eight helpers three times in his previous six games.
Cunningham racked up a playoff-high 12 assists in his Game 7 matchup against a feisty Magic defense that held him to 7.3 assists per game in the first round.
So far, Cavs' guard Dean Wade has struggled to stick with Cunningham as one of his primary defenders.
Cunningham has consistently passed around help defense all year and I don't expect Sunday to be any different.
Pick: Cade Cunningham Over 8.5 Assists (-106)

Donovan Mitchell Over 25.5 Points (-118)
The Cavaliers will also need their lead guard to take control in this matchup. Because of that, expect Donovan Mitchell to undoubtedly shoot the ball a ton.
Mitchell is a renowned scorer year in and year out during the playoffs, boasting a career postseason scoring average of 27.8. However, he's coming off a poor shooting night in which he tallied 18 points on 20 shots. But with elimination on the table, I don't expect that to performance to repeat.
If Mitchell goes down, he'll go down swinging. He's averaged 27.5 points through 10 career elimination games, and attempted 22.9 field goals per contest in those outings, with 9.5 of those attempts coming from beyond the arc. Not only that, he leads all players in this series, averaging 28.5 points per game.
Mitchell and James Harden are the only Cavaliers averaging more than 15.0 points in the series, so bettors should expect a steady shot diet from both members of Cleveland's starting backcourt early and often.
