Hawks vs. Knicks
The Knicks host Game 2 against the Hawks tonight, and I expect Karl-Anthony Towns to dominate on the interior. While KAT had a slow start to Game 1, he turned on the jets in the second half, scoring 19 of his 25 points.
The Knicks finally leaned into his positional advantage despite Atlanta’s attempts to avoid giving up the switch when they put Onyeka Okongwu in the action. The Hawks even tried putting Dyson Daniels on Towns toward the end of the game; however, that also opened up different vulnerabilities for Atlanta with CJ McCollum being forced into the action.
Considering Okongwu just popped up on the injury report with knee inflammation, this advantage may skew even further for KAT and the Knicks.
Towns has averaged 20.1 points per game on the season, but he has been particularly lethal against Atlanta, scoring 36, 21, and 25 points in their matchups. He played 33 minutes last game, and that total could have been even higher had he not dealt with some foul trouble.
I fully expect to see him log at least 33 minutes again tonight. Atlanta simply does not have an ideal answer for defending KAT in this series, so I’ll continue to lean into that matchup.
Pick: Karl-Anthony Towns Over 20.5 Points (-118)
Timberwolves vs. Nuggets
For my second prop, we’re heading to the Western Conference, where the Timberwolves are looking to even their series with the Nuggets. I’m targeting Donte DiVincenzo to go over 10.5 points, a line that feels slightly undervalued given his role in the Wolves' rotation.
DiVincenzo has clearly earned the trust of the Timberwolves' coaching staff, evidenced by his heavy 31-minute workload in Game 1. He is a high-hustle player who provides exactly what a team needs in the postseason: a secondary facilitator who is also a high-level defensive option.
That two-way utility is essentially a guarantee for minutes, as his defense keeps him on the floor even when his shot isn't falling early.
When we look at the statistical splits for his 2025-26 campaign, the floor for this prop is incredibly encouraging:
- In games with 25+ minutes: He averaged 12.8 points.
- In games with 30+ minutes: He averaged 12.2 points.
- With Ayo Dosunmu on the floor: He still maintained a solid 10.4 point average.
DiVincenzo has shown he can find his rhythm against this Denver defense, headlined by recent 17- and 12-point performances against the Nuggets.
After scoring 12 points in the series opener on Saturday, he has now cleared this 10.5-point threshold in eight consecutive playoff games dating back to his time with the Knicks.
As long as we see the expected 25 to 30 minutes of run tonight, DiVincenzo should have more than enough volume to clear this total.
