New York Knicks vs Phoenix Suns NBA Preview
The Knicks are still searching for a quality road win, and tonight kickstarts a four-game road trip, which is why their win against the Clippers at home on Wednesday was so important.
The Suns are good; legitimately good.
So, this is a shot for the Knicks to make a statement to win the toughest game on this trip, which is followed by Portland on Sunday, Sacramento on Wednesday, and Golden State the day after. Their Monday and Tuesday off will be the Knicks' first time having two straight off days in nearly a month.
The Suns are 5-2 against the spread and 4-3 straight up as a home underdog, and the Knicks are just 3-9 against the spread — though, 7-5 straight up — as a road favorite.
The Knicks, 7-9 on the road, have a worse record than the Pistons, Celtics, Raptors, Magic, Cavs and 76ers while away — and they are just one win better than the 6-9 Nets.
Injury-wise, Landry Shamet (shoulder) is out for the Knicks.
Ian Begley of SNY reported that Josh Hart is close earlier this week and had a chance to return against the Clippers, but he didn't. Don't be surprised if he's active tonight, although he hasn't been formally updated (status-wise) as of Friday morning at 8 a.m.

If Hart is out, Miles is over if 6-of-7 games he sits, and since returning from injury, he's over in 5-of-6, all games Hart missed.
I love this at 11.5, if available, if Hart sits, and I still like it if he's in. The Knicks just started McBride, and he's set in a big minutes role even when he doesn't.
Mike Brown loves him — he's extremely complementary (on both ends) to other Knicks players and has the best on/off metrics on the team. Most of the Knicks' best lineups include Miles.
