Knicks vs Raptors NBA Preview

New York has simply owned this matchup this season.

The Knicks are only 5-13 straight up against teams that are .500 or better while on the road.

But in that scenario, the Knicks are 2-0 in Toronto, and 3-0 against the Raptors this season overall.

The injury reports are worth monitoring though, as the Knicks are on the front end of a back-to-back and will be back home on Wednesday to face the Thunder.

Toronto got off to a great start this year, at 14-5 on Thanksgiving — but since then, they are just 21-20.

Still, the Raptors are only 2.0 games behind the Cavaliers for the 4-seed.

A win over the Knicks would bring them within 2.5 games of the third seed.

As of this morning, Miles McBride (core) is the only injury, but I'd be surprised if Mitchell Robinson isn't added, given that the Knicks face OKC tomorrow, and he doesn't play back-to-backs.

For Toronto, Collin Murray-Boyles (thumb) is out.

Knicks vs Raptors Predictions, Betting Analysis

Part of why the Knicks have dominated this matchup, aside from being more fortunate with health, is that they have played really well defensively against Toronto.

The way to beat the Knicks' defense is to create open looks from three-point range to bring the defense out to make it easier to drive, which isn't as hard as it seemed for the Spurs a few days ago.

The Raptors try to play inside out and go downhill at will, which is how the Knicks are able to turn them over.

Toronto has had 52 turnovers against New York in three games, with 20 and 18 in each game.

In total, the Knicks have 30 steals against them, with OG Anunoby accounting for eight — and that's with one game missed.

He had six against Toronto last time, and two before that.

Additionally, he's recorded two or more steals in three of his last five outings.

Pick: OG Anunoby Over 1.5 Steals (+120)
