76ers vs Hawks NBA Preview
The Hawks are one of the Eastern Conference's hottest teams and will enter Saturday's matchup riding a five-game winning streak. They have undergone some major roster reconstruction since the start of the 2025-26 season, and their new personnel is making a difference.
Former Warriors' wing Jonathan Kuminga has been a major part of the team's success since making his Atlanta debut.
The 23-year-old is averaging 21.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while shooting 67.7% from the field and 55.6% from distance with his new team. His status for Saturday is up in the air, but the Hawks can make things happen without him as well.
Atlanta has averaged a league-leading 125.2 points per game since Feb. 22, so it's clear that its offense is flourishing following the departure of Trae Young. It appears like they'll have more firepower than the visitors in this pairing.
Philadelphia has gone 4-4 straight up since the All-Star break, and Joel Embiid's health issues are becoming a problem in the back half of the season.
The big man has appeared in just two of the 76ers' previous eight games, and his fill-ins have been hard-pressed to replace his 26.6 points per contest when he's not available.
Tyrese Maxey is averaging a career-high 28.9 points per game, but his offense alone might not be enough to keep Philly competitive. He scored 28 points in the 76ers' 10-point loss to the Hawks last month and could use more support on offense.
Kuminga (knee) is questionable for Atlanta. Embiid (oblique) has been ruled out, while VJ Edgecombe (back) is doubtful for Philadelphia.
76ers vs Hawks Predictions, Betting Analysis
The Hawks have been on a roll against the spread since late February. Atlanta is 5-0 against the spread during its current five-game winning streak, and Embiid's absence bodes well for its continued success.
Philadelphia has gone 1-5 against the spread in the previous six games Embiid has missed.
Embiid's absence will surely be felt on both ends of the floor on the road against a team with a ton of momentum.
Atlanta has held teams to an impressive 102.4 points per game during its win streak. Only the Celtics (97.6) and Knicks (99.4) have topped that mark since Feb. 22.
The table is set for the Hawks to win handily here.
Pick: Hawks -6.5
