Kings vs Clippers NBA Preview
These two Western Conference teams are trending in opposite directions.
While the Kings won two consecutive games before losing to the Hornets, only the Nets (29) and Jazz (27) have lost more games than the Kings (26) in 2026.
Sacramento is banged up with Domantas Sabonis and Zach LaVine out for the season, and it's clear that DeMar DeRozan and Russell Westbrook aren't enough to secure wins consistently.
Sacramento is in serious need of a dynamic, go-to scorer. The Kings' lack of that is a big reason they rank 29th in points per game (110.6).
Production like that won't make keeping up with one of the league's most lethal offensive engines easy.
Los Angeles is gaining ground quickly in the Western Conference, and Kawhi Leonard's scoring has been a driving force behind the team's current four-game winning streak.
Leonard is averaging a career high 28.3 points per game and has eclipsed 30 points in each of his two meetings with the Kings this season.
Like most teams, Sacramento doesn't appear to have an answer for the two-way star. He'll likely post another strong stat line in his third matchup with the Kings in 2025-26.
Devin Carter (calf) and Drew Eubanks (thumb) have been ruled out for Sacramento, while Malik Monk (ankle) is listed as questionable. Darius Garland (toe) is out for Los Angeles.
Kings vs Clippers Predictions, Betting Analysis
The Clippers are clearly a much better team on paper, but the Kings aren't going down without a fight despite being one of the NBA's worst teams.
Sacramento covered against a Hornets team with the league's third-best overall record against the spread earlier this week — and that was without Westbrook.
The Kings have also covered in three consecutive contests. They appear likely to get a big boost from two key guards returning to the rotation.
Westbrook is already set to return from a one-game layoff, and Monk could be the cherry on top that helps the underdogs avoid an embarrassing blowout loss.
Sacramento is 8-7 against the spread with a rest advantage, and Los Angeles will be lacing up for the second leg of a back-to-back.
Action PRO projects this line at Clippers -8.1, which makes Kings +13.5 an A+ play in our database.
Pick: Kings +13.5 (-110)
