The Super Bowl provides bettors to wager on special props that don't pop up for any old game during the regular season.

Below, I'll explain the circumstances behind an octopus and a scorigami, two intricate scoring outcomes that have odds posted on DraftKings for Super Bowl LX between the Seahawks and Patriots on Sunday, Feb. 8.

What’s an Octopus?

The definition of an "octopus" in the NFL is simple: a player records one if he reaches the end zone both on a touchdown, and on the ensuing two-point conversion attempt. The player will be responsible for eight total points, hence the octopus.

2025 was a light year for octopuses in the NFL, with only three players reaching the feat during the regular season compared to 11 in 2024.

Chris Godwin of the Buccaneers was the most recent player to score an octopus, doing so in a loss to the Falcons on Thursday Night Football in Week 15.

No players on either Super Bowl team have recorded an octopus this year, but the Seahawks had one scored on them by Emeka Egbuka (weirdly enough, another Buc) during Week 5, as he reached the end zone via the pass on both attempts.

You can bet that there will be an octopus at 15-1 at DraftKings, which can be found under “Game Props.”

You can also bet “No” on an octopus taking place at -5000 at DraftKings, but that bet isn’t eligible to be parlayed.

What’s a Scorigami?

Scorigami is a concept originally named and popularized by SB Nation's Jon Bois, who gave this name to any NFL game that produced a never-before-seen final score.

The last Super Bowl to end in scorigami did, in fact, involve the Seahawks: their 43-8 Super Bowl XLVIII win over the Broncos marked the first time that score had ever been seen in NFL history. It was the third Super Bowl ever to end in scorigami, with the first two also featuring the Broncos: Super Bowl XXI (Giants 39, Broncos 20) and Super Bowl XXIV (49ers 55, Broncos 10).

During the 2025 regular season, four scorigami were added to the list, bringing the grand total of unique NFL scores to appear in a game to 1,095. The latest came during Week 11, when the Bills and Buccaneers competed in a high-scoring affair that resulted in a final score of Bills 44, Bucs 32.

You can bet on Super Bowl LX ending in scorigami over at DraftKings, with odds to see the 1,096th unique final score in NFL history sitting at 25-1.

That market can be found under "Novelty Props."
