Fulham vs. Burnley
Burnley’s run of six straight defeats has left it in a perilous position. Scott Parker’s side is in the relegation zone, five points from safety, so this game really is a must-win, even at this early stage.
In its seven Premier League matches since facing Leeds, Burnley has failed to keep a clean sheet and conceded an average of 2.14 goals per game.
The home side’s defensive struggles, coupled with the desperate need for a win, make this game an excellent candidate for both teams to score.
This bet has won in five of Fulham’s seven away league matches. During that run, Marco Silva’s side has conceded an average of two goals per game.
The Cottagers are averaging just 0.86 goals per Premier League away game, but they should be able to find the net against a Burnley side that has conceded the second-most goals in the division.
Let’s hope for a high-scoring affair once again.
Pick: Both Teams To Score – Yes
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Arsenal
After an impressive form line where Arsenal recorded eight clean sheets and eight consecutive victories, the Gunners have now conceded seven goals in their previous seven games.
Injuries to William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Christian Mosquera and Riccardo Caliafiori in the current stretch of matches have hindered Arsenal’s back line.
Fortunately for Arsenal, it now plays Wolves at home, the worst team in the division in many metrics. Wolves rank 20th in the league standings without a win, scoring just eight goals.
No team has scored fewer goals than Wolves this season, with the next worst, Nottingham Forest (14), six goals ahead.
Despite Arsenal’s defensive absentees, the Gunners (0.63 xGA) are the only side to post an expected goals against average below 1.00.
If season trends continue, league leaders Arsenal win comfortably on the weekend, and their visitors, Wolves, struggle to create regular goalscoring opportunities.
