The PGA Tour's first of two consecutive Signature Events commences Thursday with the Cadillac Championship at Trump National Doral in Miami, Florida.

While many of the world's top players return to the field this week, there are more ways to bet on the tournament than just who will emerge victorious on Sunday.

For more instant gratification, we turn to the first-round leader market to find value on who will sit atop the leaderboard when play comes to an end on Thursday.

Here are my favorite Cadillac Championship first-round leader picks and PGA Tour predictions for Thursday's opening round.

Cadillac Championship First-Round Leader Picks

Cadillac Championship FRL Pick: Scottie Scheffler

Odds: +1000 · FanDuel

With Rory McIlroy and Matt Fitzpatrick both taking the week off, Scottie Scheffler holds a significant edge over the rest of the field. He is the favorite to win the tournament and is capable of going wire-to-wire.

As the top-ranked player in the world, Scheffler has no clear weakness in his game. That includes his driver, as he ranks in the 98th percentile on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: off the tee.

The driver is arguably the most important club in the bag at Trump National Doral this week. The course returns to the PGA Tour for the first time since 2016 and is a beast of a layout.

Trump National Doral stretches more than 7,700 yards and heavily penalizes players who miss fairways. As a result, both accuracy and distance off the tee are essential, two areas in which Scheffler shouldn't have many worries.

Cadillac Championship FRL Pick: Min Woo Lee

Odds: +3500 · BetMGM

Another golfer worth targeting in Thursday’s opening round is Min Woo Lee. Few players are more dangerous off the tee, as Lee is one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour.

Entering this week, he ranks in the 94th percentile in strokes gained: off the tee and in the 93rd percentile in driving distance. His length allows him to excel on longer holes.

This season, Lee ranks fifth on the PGA Tour in par-5 birdie-or-better percentage. The last time Trump National Doral hosted a PGA Tour event in 2016, each of the top three finishers ranked inside the top three in the field in par-5 scoring.
