The second round of the 2026 Pebble Beach Pro-Am gets underway on Friday in California.
Ryo Hisatsune leads the Pebble Beach Pro-Am after the first round at 10-under par. He holds a one-stroke lead over the rest of the field, but the tournament remains wide open with three days remaining.
Here are my picks for Pebble Beach Pro-Am Round 2 best bets for Friday.
Pebble Beach Pro-Am Round 2 Odds, Best Bets
Scottie Scheffler Top-20 (-122 at DraftKings)
For the second consecutive week, Scottie Scheffler finds himself near the bottom of the leaderboard after Thursday’s opening round. Last week, despite sitting in an even worse position than he does now, Scheffler responded with three dominant rounds to finish T3.
Even if he does not climb quite that high against a stronger field this week, there should be little doubt that he can work his way back inside the top 20 over the next three rounds.
Scheffler has finished inside the top 10 in each of the past two years at this event, and a five-shot deficit from the top 20 is far from insurmountable with 54 holes remaining, especially for the top-ranked golfer in the world.
Stephan Jaeger Top-40 (-120 at DraftKings)
Stephan Jaeger enters Friday T39 at 3-under par, already inside the top-40 threshold. There are multiple reasons to believe he can maintain that position over the final three rounds.
First, Jaeger possesses a strong short game. He has gained true strokes putting in each of his past two tournaments, finishing inside the top 30 in both events.
Pebble Beach emphasizes wedge play and putting due to its shorter layout. There were three measured rounds at this venue last season, as every golfer who made the cut also played Pebble Beach during the final two rounds of the tournament.
Among those golfers, each of the top four finishers ranked 19th or better in the field in strokes gained: putting across those three rounds at Pebble Beach. No other strokes-gained category showed a similar trend.
As strong as Jaeger’s putting is, his wedge play may be even better.
He finished last season ranked 26th on the PGA Tour in birdie-or-better percentage from inside 125 yards. Last year, 28% of approach shots at Pebble Beach came from that range, well above the PGA Tour average.
