The fourth and final round of the 2026 PGA Championship gets underway on Sunday at Aronimink Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

Alex Smalley leads at 6-under par after the third round and hold a two-stroke lead over the rest of the field. However, many heavy hitters are chasing him with one round remaining.

Here is my pick and PGA Championship Round 4 best bet.

PGA Championship Round 4 Best Bet

Alex Smalley (+450 at DraftKings)

Although many big names trail Alex Smalley in his quest for his first PGA Tour title and major championship victory, +450 is too long of a price to pass up on a guy with a two-stroke lead on a course that is immensely difficult to score on.

One of Donald Ross’ preferred design elements at Aronimink was its emphasis on accuracy and shot-making rather than raw power. With that in mind, finding fairways is essential off the tee this week due to the penal rough and numerous bunkers lining the course.

That profile benefits Smalley, who ranks in the 79th percentile on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: off the tee and in the 70th percentile in driving accuracy.

Approach play is critical, as players face large but complex greens. Hitting precise landing areas is essential given the speed of the putting surfaces.

The greens run around 13.5 on the Stimpmeter, placing a premium on putting. Smalley’s putter has been strong, as he ranks in the 72nd percentile on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: putting.

He has used that combination of driving and putting to finish inside the top 20 in each of his past four tournaments, and this could be the week he finally breaks through.
