The second round of the 2026 RBC Canadian Open gets underway on Friday at TPC Toronto.
There is a six-way tie for first at 6-under par after the opening round. But, of course, the tournament remains wide open with three days remaining.
Here are my picks and RBC Canadian Open Round 2 best bets.
RBC Canadian Open Round 2 Best Bets
Tommy Fleetwood Top-20 (-128 at DraftKings)
A bogey on the final hole of Tommy Fleetwood’s opening round does not diminish the pre-tournament favorite’s promising start. He enters Friday at T32 at 3-under par, and at -128, he is worth backing to record his third top-20 finish in his past four tournaments.
Putting is essential this week. The course is relatively easy, with fairways and greens both yielding above-average accuracy relative to PGA Tour standards, turning this event into a putting contest.
As a result, each of the top five finishers here last year ranked inside the top 16 in the field in strokes gained: putting.
No other strokes-gained category showed a similar trend.
That profile makes Fleetwood a strong option. Entering this week, he ranks in the 91st percentile on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: putting.
Matt Fitzpatrick Top-20 (-124 at DraftKings)
Another golfer worth targeting in this market is Matt Fitzpatrick, who is tied with Fleetwood at 3-under par following Thursday’s opening round.
Like Fleetwood, Fitzpatrick fits this course well.
Entering this week, he ranks in the top third of the PGA Tour in strokes gained: putting.
With TPC Toronto favoring a “grip it and rip it” approach, most approach shots will come from wedge distances. Last year, 19.4% of approach shots came from the 125-150-yard range, and no other 25-yard grouping exceeded 15.1%.
Fitzpatrick ranks in the 94th percentile on the PGA Tour in strokes gained: approach from 100-150 yards. It would not be surprising if he records his seventh top-20 finish in his past nine tournaments.
