The second day of the 2026 Texas Open gets underway on Friday at TPC San Antonio.

Mark Hubbard leads the Texas Open after the first day at seven-under par. He holds a one-stroke lead over the rest of the field, but the tournament remains wide open with three days remaining.

Here are my picks for the Texas Open Day 2 best bets for Friday.

Texas Open Round 2 Odds, Best Bets

Pontus Nyholm Top-20 (+235 at DraftKings)

Play was suspended due to darkness during the first round, leaving Pontus Nyholm T15 at 4-under par with three holes remaining. He will complete those holes on Friday morning, which positions him well entering the weekend.

Holes 17 and 18 are among the easiest on the course, giving Nyholm a chance to move inside the top 10 before beginning his second round. Regardless, he is worth backing to remain inside the top 20 for the rest of the tournament.

Putting is arguably the most important factor at TPC San Antonio. Last year, each of the top four finishers ranked inside the top 17 in the field in strokes gained: putting.

No other strokes-gained category showed a similar trend.

Nyholm has relied on a strong putter to record three top-20 finishes in his past four tournaments, gaining true strokes putting in two of the three events in which ShotLink data was available.

Adrien Dumont De Chassart Top-20 (+250 at DraftKings)

Another golfer worth targeting in this market is Adrien Dumont de Chassart. He is one shot behind Nyholm and that T15 threshold after completing his opening round Thursday.

Success on the greens at TPC San Antonio is often supported by strong long-iron play. Last season, 19.1% of approach shots came from the 175-200-yard range, the highest distribution of any 25-yard grouping at this course.

Entering this week, Dumont de Chassart ranks above the PGA Tour average in strokes gained: approach from 150-plus yards. He also enters the tournament in strong form following a T12 finish at last week’s Texas Children’s Houston Open.
