NBA Injury News & Starting Lineups (Jan. 29): Kawhi Leonard and Paul George Likely to Play, Donovan Mitchell Out Friday article feature image

Friday’s NBA Injury News

3 p.m. ET Update: The Jazz will be without Donovan Mitchell for a second straight contest due to a concussion.


1 p.m. ET Update: Paul  George and Kawhi Leonard have been removed from the injury report and are available to play on Friday. Both players have missed the prior two games due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Kevin Durant has been ruled out Friday due to injury recovery for his Achilles.


Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid has played through a back injury all season and is questionable heading into Friday’s game with Minnesota Timberwolves. Embiid suffered a hard fall on his tailbone in Wednesday’s win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Lonzo Ball is questionable with a sprained ankle. The New Orleans Pelicans point guard missed the second half of Wednesday’s game with the ankle injury and has dealt with a knee injury throughout the season.

Donovan Mitchell missed the Utah Jazz’s game on Wednesday after suffering a concussion in their previous game and is questionable entering Friday’s game.
