Thursday's NBA Injury News

6 p.m. ET Update: Kyrie Irving has been ruled out Thursday due to personal reasons. Seth Curry will also miss tonight's 76ers-Nets game with a sore ankle. There's been no official word yet on Joel Embiid but it appears that he's strongly trending towards playing Thursday.

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid is questionable for Thursday's road matchup with the Brooklyn Nets on TNT. Embiid played 36 minutes in Wednesday's high-scoring game against the Washington Wizards and has already missed the second leg of a Sixers' back-to-back this season.

The Los Angeles Lakers have the lengthiest injury report with three starters listed as questionable: LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. They will get back fan favorite Alex Caruso after he missed five games.

Per our NBA Insiders tool:

Caruso has been removed from the injury report in advance of Thursday's game after being absent due to health and safety protocols. The Lakers have listed James, Anthony Davis (adductor), and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (ankle) as questionable. James has repeatedly been listed on the injury report despite playing in each game this season. If Davis is unable to suit up, Kyle Kuzma will step into the starting lineup and benefit from a boost in usage.

The Denver Nuggets were hoping to get Michael Porter Jr. back for their TNT matchup with the Dallas Mavericks after Porter finished his mandatory quarantine. But he's officially ruled out.
